that was a singing hello kitty in a rabbit hat, and a shark (which looks more like a crocodile).

christmas flower arrangement
Wednesday, January 16th, 2013sorry to back track here, but i wanted to tell you about this little flower arrangement i made at christmas…
i would have never tried my hands on this little project if not for the floral gift mr candlelight received at his clinic opening reception. we brought the gift home and when the flowers wilted a week afterwards, i took the arrangement apart with the thought of recycling the cardboard box (i cannot stand throwing recyclable/reuseable stuff in the garbage bin now – i would hate myself if i accidentally did that sometimes). it was when i got the idea that it could not be too difficult to make another one by myself. so i used the same floral foam and box, and got some lovely leaves and flowers from the florist just before the x’mas holidays. to make it more festive, i put these christmassy toothpicks to decorate the arrangement.
siu momo was thrilled and she said the little “berries” were very cute…
it sat on our dining table throughout the holidays, and i was making up stories using the toothpicks as little puppets. siu momo and di di enjoyed it a lot. we had quite some fun with that during our meals.
aside from the daisies and peonies, i trimmed and tied up the bunch after the holidays and now it is hanging dry at my bedside. that will remind me of christmas 2012.
